CookieCommand.org is going to Texas!
SSG Scott Adams and his wife Susie have extended an invitation to Paula to come down and stay with them. SSG Adams was injured by an IED on Jan 26, 2007 and, while recovering from his injuries, Scott graciously offered to be the point of contact for other wounded warriors to share the cards and donations from CookieCommand.org.  Many of you wrote to Scott and his buddies to express your support and they loved hearing from you.
Scott, Susie and their 3 boys live near Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.  Paula will be leaving late Friday afternoon and returning Tuesday March 4th.   While there, she will be presenting 2 voice recognition laptops to two heroes recovering from injuries.  There aren't enough words to express how important these laptops are. They make a difference in ways we could never imagine. Think about it . . . no more writing letters, or cards, or picking up the phone to call back.  It's just you and and your words. No erasers, no white-out, no back spacing, no do overs.
Paula will also be delivering hand-made flannel blankets by our fantastic Vonda along with the absolutely gorgeous,  get-well cards "quilted" by Judy Peters and her wonderful friends with Delightful Quilters.   One of our special card writers, Jill Atkinson, sent a letter to her mother-in-law, Sherry, a teacher at Stafford High School in Fredericksburg, Virgina,  explaining what CookieCommand.org is all about.  Sherry and her students  have graciously sent a stack of great get-well and support cards for our troops which Paula will be handing out while in Texas.
Paula will be returning home with some great pictures and stories to share with you all, so come back to this blog next week for more updates!

Hi everyone and Happy New Year!  We actually never left!  Paula and I have been working on CookieCommand.org constantly.  It has become a very big part of our lives.

We are working on a new look for our website  but ,in the mean time have added lots of pictures of our last project.  We tried to capture as many faces as we could for the slideshow.  If anyone took pictures and wants to submit them, please contact us.   We will be adding thank you notes from the troops and more pictures as we receive them.

This blog will be updated frequently to let you know what we wil be planning throughout the year!

Our mission is to help our troops, and with your help, we will!
